Amazing what treasures some random Googling can turn up.
In the early 1940s Martin Aircraft built seven copies of its four-engine Mars flying boat. The 37-ton planes were retired from Navy service in 1956. In the early ’60s several were converted for use as waterbombers, and today one — Hawaii Mars — is still in use by Coulson Flying Tankers, Inc. in Canada. In August some jerks vandalized the priceless plane and nearly caused it to crash.

Isn’t that why they have PRE-flight inspections?
