The heart bleeds for the poor colonials. It’s amazing how these British farmers managed to accrue thousands of acres of land in…Zimbabwe. Land repossession was at the core of anti-colonial struggle from Ireland to Vietnam. Zimbabwe is just lagging behind.
As for the opening post itself, it is slightly weird to see it coming from David Axe, a writer normally known for his craven, obsequious, and generally dull-witted pro-Pentagon propaganda. Still, it can’t be too long before he’s back encouraging Western military intervention in, say, Sudan or some other recalcitrant country. Gotta put food on the table. Save the darkies. White man’s burden. It’s so heavy.
