As democracy protests spread across Africa and the Middle East, from Tunisia to Egypt, Morocco, Yemen, Bahrain, Iran and now Libya, some governments have ordered their armies into action to crush demonstrations. Two Libyan air force Mirage F.1 pilots flew to Malta instead of following orders to attack protesters.
