interesting cartoon. Funny thing is that there is no ‘freedom of religion’ in Islam. If you are a muslim, and you leave the faith, you are dictated by the Koran to be killed as an apostate. The leader of the Cordoba mosque does not dispute this mandate.

“I believe Islam should not be like this. I believe you must be free to choose your own religion” – then its not Islam anymore and he wont be a Muslim.

Sorry Infidelio, but that’s misinformation. Nowhere in the Qur’an does it say that apostates are to be killed. In fact people who had accepted and then left Islam at the time of the Prophet are mentioned in the Qur’an.

“Let there be no compulsion in religion. Truth stands out clear from error” the Qur’an says. In other words, if there is compulsion there is no religion.

I don’t believe for one moment that the imam behind the Cordoba Initiative supports the murder of apostates. Again, from the Qur’an: “Bring your proof if you are truthful”.
