Man, is Noah Berlatsky grumpy. He reviewed the 2008 Best American Comics anthology for Chicago Reader. In short, “wearyingly predictable,” he writes. Of my own contribution, he adds:

[T]he team of David Axe and Steve Olexa criticize the Iraq war — just in case you were wondering where alternative comics artists stood on that conflict. 

Ouch.

    Yeowch. That wasn’t very nice!

    I think the whole load of Graphical Novels that have come out over the past decade have opened my eyes to the world and books such as PALESTINE and Pyongyang have been absolutely immense.

    Don’t listen to these fools, Dave and plough your own furrow..
