Swedesh technology has alawas been underated. Grippen is a very capable jet but will always find it hard to compete in sales with the likes of the USA, UK, Germany etc due to political pressure/politics.
But bear in mind the pilot is a HUGE factor in combat.
It would be interesting to see if a Grippen could shoot down a UK Typhoon

But I guess its all about “promotion”! Are you a small manufacture like Saab, you have a hard time to stand up to a Billion dollar manufacture like the German/Italian/British Eurofighter. Its great though that the British Aerospace now a days is a part of the Gripen (Griffin)project! I cant wait for the new updated version of Gripen!

The Hungarian information is lacking in any clarity. A really stupid boast that holds little water other than a pilot got a clean kill.

Wow if they shot down a Typhoon with most of their weapon systems shut down then imagine what a small grippen can do with them turned on!

I always wondered why they say Eurofighter is better. It’s only bigger!
